Mini Police

We are proud to work with Hertfordshire Police and our local Police Community Support Officers (PCSO) in supporting our pupils’ knowledge of keeping themselves safe.

PCSO Visits:

We regularly receive visits from our local PCSOs who visit our classes, lead sessions on being friends and online safety and often join us for playtimes!

Mini Police Project:

This year 2 of our classes have taken part in the “Mini Police” Project – a 6 week project led by PCSOs focusing on raising awareness of issues such as:

  • knife crime workshop
  • Anti-Social behaviour (big groups, littering, being outside shops etc)
  • Online Safety
  • Crime scene – interactive session
  • What’s in a Police Car!
  • Road safety including speed sign on public road/gathering speeding data
  • Being kind to others
  • Police dog visit

All pupils receive a Mini Police hat, jacket and tabard as part of the project and a certificate of participation upon completion of the sessions

Woolgrove School is full and full for September 2026

  • We regret that we are currently unable to offer prospective parents tours of the school.

Once a place has been offered, you will be contacted by the school to arrange an initial meeting.
In addition, you may be aware that in the coming months Hertfordshire Local Authority will be undertaking a consultation of its specialist provision, including  changes to all its special schools including Woolgrove.  Please refer to the Hertfordshire Local Offer for more information on this consultation and what it means for Woolgrove in the future.
We  appreciate your interest in our school and are sorry that we are unable to accommodate your request at this time .
