Pryor Way Road Closure
Please note there is a road closure notice that has recently been brought to our attention on Pryor Way which will result in the road being closed for repair works on 4th, 5th and 6th November, between 7:30am and 5:00pm each day.
At this stage, we do not yet know the full impact these works may have on access to the school. Please be assured that we are actively engaging with Hertfordshire County Council’s Highways Team to seek clarification and to ensure that appropriate arrangements are in place to allow access to the school site throughout the period of the proposed works.
The works are also listed on the One.Network roadworks portal under permit FM325HT2522000027155.
We have made it clear to the relevant parties that relying on discussions with the on-site team on the day of the works is not a suitable solution. We have emphasised the importance of maintaining safe access for our pupils, particularly those with physical and medical needs, and have highlighted the significant impact any restriction to access could have on our school community. The safety and wellbeing of our pupils remains our highest priority.
As a school, we are extremely disappointed that these works have been scheduled for the first week following the half-term break, given the potential disruption this may cause to pupils, families and staff.
We will continue to work closely with the Highways Team and will provide further updates as soon as additional information becomes available.
