Governance
Woolgrove School, Special Needs Academy became a single academy trust in April 2012.
Our members and trustees play a crucial role in the governance and management of the trust. The members hold the trust board to account for effective governance and are responsible for assessing if the trust board is performing well.
In academy trusts, the purpose of governance is to provide:
- strategic leadership
- accountability and assurance
- strategic engagement
