This year saw the biggest Safer Internet Day ever, with more than 2,100 organisations and schools across the UK getting involved to help inspire a national conversation about using technology responsibly, respectfully, critically and creatively.
Woolgrove was one of the thousands of schools to have a mini-topic day on 5 thFebruary. Our focus was about keeping the children and ourselves safe whilst online. We discussed the different devices that can be used to access the internet: computers, laptops, iPads, tablets, phones etc.
We talked about different things that might make us feel sad, worried or upset and most importantly what we do if this ever happens – we always tell an adult!
Here is a collection of some of the posters we made:

If you are ever worried about your children accessing YouTube a great alternative to use is YouTube Kids. It is a fantastic resource provided for free by YouTube and filters content that they deem not suitable for children.
